While I was reading this story the song, "She's Just Not a Pretty Face" by Shania Twain kept going through my mind. A line in the chorus is, "She's not just a pretty face...she's got everything it takes". The song then continues to talk about how this girl, who is beautiful, does everything from riding in the rodeo, to be being an astronaut.
Then there is the story. Don't get me wrong, it talks about how gorgeous Cybill is. For instance they say that she has been called, "one of the screen's most glorious faces" by movie critics. To me that sounds like many people see and appreciate her beauty. However, the story also makes sure to mention on multiple occasions that she is more than just looks, that she has intelligence and a great personality to go along with her good looks. For example the word intelligent is used to describe her on more than three occasions and the author takes time to talk about her high school life. About how she set the record for the long jump and spent her summers water skiing in Alabama.
It is nice to read a story about a beautiful actress that just doesn't focus on her beauty, but her as a person as well.
All in all I enjoyed this story. Like I said before I really enjoyed that they not only focused on her good looks but on her personality and intelligence as well.
