Narrative & Dialogue

What is the effective way to use narrative and dialogue in feature stories?
One effective way to use narrative and dialogue in feature stories is by using it at the beginning of the story. This catches the readers attention because it humanizes the story right from the start and it doesn't case the story solely on generic facts. Adding dialogue helps relate the story to the audience and that is key.

What do we need to ensure we have to include or avoid in using dialogue and narrative?
When incorporating dialogue and narrative into a story, we must SHOW not TELL. Knowing our surroundings and being able to recreate a scene with descriptive words helps us paint a picture for our audience.
